Black gold silver cake
This cake was for a teenage boy who had a party and the theme was black, gold, and silver. This is a simple design i came up with. It actually reminds of the Pittsburgh Steelers for some reason. This is a 10in vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream.

Mercedes Key Cake
This cake is a replica of a Mercedes Key. The client wanted a small Mercedes cake. I didnt want to do a car, therefore, why not a key since I havent seen alot of key cakes. The engraved part was freehanded. The red button was created in Photoshop This was a red velvet cake with cream cheese buttercream.

Optimus Prime Cake
This cake was for a 4yr old birthday that was Transformer themed and all he wanted was an Optimus Prime cake (newer version). This cake was a milestone for me because 1) it is the longest cake I have created, 2) longest time to construct one cake because of the precise measurements and fitting geometrical shapes together, 3) first time I have used chocolate as a medium with cake.
The 6 wheels were made from Guittards Coating chocolate, so its a solid piece of chocolate and glued onto the cake with chocolate, not royal icing.
Everything is edible except for the silver poles (Popsicle sticks and PVC pipes).

I bought the toy so I can have a model to try to resemble it. See the size comparison?! This cake was 18 in long, about 7 in high (highest point) and 9 in wide (at its widest)
The birthday greeting was created in Photoshop and printed on edible ink printer.

Purple Kobe Jersey Front Cake

Ah, my Laker cakes are becoming perfection compared to my beginning ones. This is a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream.
All the logos were printed out on edible ink. The birthday greeting was created in Photoshop.
Barbie Birthday Cake

This cake was for a 4yr old daughter. She wanted a Barbie cake to feed enough for 50 ppl. Therefore, I decided to make a standing Barbie cake on top of more cake. I bought a Birthday Barbie (shown at the top right corner) and tried to imitate her dress with fondant while incorporating Nia’s favorite color, pink. Not bad for my first Barbie cake ever.
Barbie’s dress was vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream while the bottom square cake was chocolate with cookies n cream buttercream.
The tiara, brush, and shoes came from the toy’s box.
Disney Penguin Club Cake

My friend’s daughter was celebrating her 10th birthday. She wanted this Penguin cake. I didnt know what the cartoon was so i went on to the website. The front page was actually the inspiration behind the cake. I wanted to incorporate what i thought stood out on the page (light house, the blue penguin, the snow trees, and the slope on the iceberg)
This cake was a 6 in sq cake that had a slope at the back half. The light house is made out of cake as well. The penguin was modeled from fondant. The logo and birthday greeting was customized via Photoshop and printed on my edible ink printer.
Christmas themed cake
A client wanted to bring a pumpkin cake with brown sugar buttercream to her family gathering. She didnt want any design nor fondant, but I refused to give her an undecorated cake. Here is what I came up with, a simple design which gave a festive feel to it.
Christmas Ornament Cake

This cake was a KP Christmas party and she requested that it has some Christmas theme to it. I decided to try an ornament cake. I added the bottom tier because I wanted to make sure that they would have enough cake to consume. The ornament cake were baked in 2 half spherical pans. The cakes was chocolate cake with dark chocolate, raspberry Chambord buttercream.
Pink was her favorite color so it was used for the ornament. Green was to add some Christmas flair to it. The cakes were airbrushed to get a little deeper color. The designs on the ornament were hand painted.

The was for a first birthday celebration for a client’s daughter. She wanted to incorporate her favorite colors: pink, lavender, green, and yellow and make the party a cupcake themed party.

I love the look of this cake because it looks somewhat whimsical due to the colors, but not involving a topsy turvy design. I wanted the main point of the cake to stand out (colored in pink) which were the giant cupcake as well as the number 1 and the name Gianna.
Giant cupcake – chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream
Yellow tier – 10 in round chocolate cake with Baileys Irish Creme buttercream
Green tier – 12 in sq chocolate cake with cookies n cream buttercream.
I had the toughest time with the giant cupcake since I had to create it without a pan

I wanted to match the cupcakes with the cake. Therefore, I created another giant cupcake just for the top of the cupcake display. The cupcakes were vanilla with dark chocolate buttercream and chocolate with white chocolate cream cheese buttercream.
Paul Frank Monkey Cake
This cake was for a girl’s 1st birthday on Thanksgiving. Her mother requested a Paul Frank carved cake since her daughter loves monkeys. This was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream, which was carved into the shape of the monkey (A little bit on the challenging side). The cake was then airbrushed black, then colored fondant was placed on top to make the distinguishable Paul Frank Monkey face.
